Today was the longest driving day of the entire trip … not in total miles, but because at this point we were just anxious to get back home!
Today was the longest driving day of the entire trip … not in total miles, but because at this point we were just anxious to get back home!
Our reservations for the tram to the top of the Arch were for 8:50 so we were up and out of the hotel by 8:15. We hit up a downtown Starbucks for our morning drinks and were in the parking garage of the Gateway Arch Riverfront area by 8:30.

Today was our longest driving day, just over 800 miles from Mammoth Cave, KY to Bloomington, MN (about 14 hours in the car). We got up early with the other family in our cabin, packed up, checked out, loaded the car, said our goodbyes, and hit the road.
We got up early this morning thanks to a particularly loud chirping bird in the woods outside of out cabin. Ah, nature!
We hit the road early this morning, grabbing breakfast from the free spread at the hotel and eating it in the car.
We’re on the road … Road Trip 2010 has begun!
