Day 2 of our summer road trip started with church and then a light breakfast (bagels, coffee/tea, and watermelon) on the back porch on my sister-in-law’s house.

Later on, we packed a picnic lunch and went back downtown to eat down by the river … very scenic. After lunch we walked a few miles on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. It looked at first like rain might be possible, but the weather held and we had a pretty good afternoon outdoors in nature. Back in the downtown area, we walked up and down Main Street and did a little shopping and more sightseeing, including finding all of the little mice sculptures from Mice on Main.

We had planned on going to Sexy Taco for dinner but by the time we got around to it, they had closed! Oh well … next time.

Tomorrow, we hit the road again …
