Ah, a day without (major) driving!
We slept in after our late (early!) arrival yesterday (this morning!) which was fine since the mall didn’t open until 10am. My daughter and I took a dip in the hotel pool and then cleaned up and joined my wife for breakfast. Then it was off to the largest indoor mall in the country: the Mall of America (or MoA).
The place is definitely huge. We walked around three of the four levels (the top is mostly clubs and bars) and my wife’s pedometer clocked us at just over 4 miles! Oh yeah, and in the center is an amusement park complete with roller coasters:
We had lunch reservations at the American Girl Bistro which was a treat for my daughter who had brought her American Girl doll and even had dressed the same.
After lunch, yeah, more walking around and shopping. We were all tired relatively early due to the long day yesterday, so we grabbed dinner at Noodles & Company up on the third level dining area and then headed back to the hotel. It was nice to have a relatively relaxing evening and we got my daughter to bed at a decent hour.
From here on out, it’s driving every day and a different hotel every night for the rest of the trip.
