None of us had super-early flights out this morning so we got to sleep in a bit again and start our recovery before having to go back to work tomorrow. Travel day …

On our way to the airport we of course had to stop at the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign for some photos. Then we dropped off the rental car and took the shuttle bus over to the airport and checked our baggage. We had to say goodbye to one of our friends early as he was in a different terminal for his flight back to Detroit, but like the way in two of us were on the connecting flight to Phoenix. We did manage to catch a glimpse of the Hoover Dam from the airplane!

We parted ways in Phoenix and my flight back to Tampa was uneventful. Coming home from Pacific time is always rough … I landed at 10:30pm. Work ought to be fun tomorrow.

I had a great time in Vegas! I’ll be going back in two months with my family as part of our upcoming west coast road trip, so watch for more posts and photos then!
