By beating #3 Syracuse 55-53 in third round of the 2014 NCAA tournament, my #11 Dayton Flyers are in the Sweet 16 for the first time in 30 years (in 1984 they made it to the Elite Eight)! They will face #10 Stanford on Thursday. GO FLYERS!!

My 11th seed Flyers played a hard game, and it was a magical run, but they just couldn’t squeak by the #1 seed Florida Gators, losing 62-52. The 10-point loss was the closest any of Florida’s opponents have gotten so far in the tournament, so there’s that. Thanks for an exciting tournament, UD Flyers! You made us proUD.
