After going down 3 games to 1 to Pittsburgh in the Stanley Cup playoffs quarterfinals, the Tampa Bay Lightning have won 7 straight games and just completed a sweep of the #1 seeded (Southeast Division champions) Washington Capitals. Incredible!
The Bolts now await the outcome of the Boston/Philadelphia series (Boston currently leads 3-0).
I had tickets to Game 6 of this semifinal series against the Caps, but I’m more than happy not to get to use them. Instead I’ll try to snag some finals tickets.

The Bruins won their series against the Flyers 4-0 which means both teams in the Eastern Conference finals swept their semi-finals opponents. So, it’s another Tampa/Boston showdown!
It was a nail-biter of a Game 7, but the Bolts couldn’t tie it up after Boston finally scored with 7 minutes left in the third period. The Bruins went on to win 1-0 and now face the Vancouver Canucks in the Stanley Cup Finals. Thanks for a great season, Bolts! See you in October!
